An enquiry starts the conversation
Tell us the property postcode, type, services of interest and how to contact you. Request an installer introduction if you want partner contact. You can also send a general question without choosing an introduction.
Partner installers can get the next appointment booked within 24 hours of receiving the enquiry. This means arranging a booking; the survey date, installation date and any permissions are agreed separately.
The survey should resolve the unknowns
Expect the roof, shade, access, equipment locations and electrical supply to be assessed. Give the installer annual electricity use and details of planned EV charging or heating changes. Ask what remains provisional after the visit.
A design should show panel positions, rated capacity, forecast generation and the assumptions behind savings. Request the battery option separately, with usable capacity, power and an explanation of how it will operate.
Check the contract before scheduling work
Review the legal company name, equipment specification, total price, payment stages, exclusions and cancellation information. Establish who handles planning and network requirements and whether any response is needed before work can start.
Agree access, deliveries, scaffolding and any electricity interruption. If the survey reveals roof repairs or electrical changes, obtain the revised scope and price in writing rather than leaving them as an open-ended addition.
Keep a useful handover pack
Ask for installation and commissioning records, equipment warranties, operating instructions and the information needed for an export application. Confirm how monitoring is accessed and who responds to faults.
Have the installer demonstrate normal operation and explain any battery or EV charging priorities. Backup power, where included, should have its own clear instructions. Save approvals and drawings with the paperwork for future maintenance or a property sale.
