The boundary changes the council route
Waltham Cross sits close to Enfield and Waltham Abbey, but the local planning routes differ. Confirm Broxbourne, Enfield or Epping Forest using the full address. A shared postcode prefix or an installer’s service area is not proof of the planning authority.
Funding eligibility also needs the correct property and household details. A scheme offered across the boundary should not be included in your budget unless the scheme confirms that your address qualifies.
A county name does not establish a discount
This site does not claim that a Hertfordshire installer is a fixed percentage cheaper than a London installer. Equipment, labour, access, roof condition, electrical work and the business’s pricing all affect a quote. Compare the actual written offers.
Ask both businesses to price the same scope. Record panel models, inverter, mounting, scaffolding, monitoring and any battery option. A different total may reflect different work rather than a geographic saving.
Check delivery and aftercare
Ask who surveys the property, who carries out the installation and who handles faults. A nearby trading address is not a substitute for clear responsibility, and a wider service area does not automatically mean poor support.
Verify claimed certification independently and read the warranty terms. Clarify labour, call-out and access costs, as well as the product warranty. Keep the legal installer identity and payment schedule in writing.
Use an enquiry to clarify the brief
Share the property type, annual electricity use, access constraints and any existing solar equipment. Explain whether you want a battery or EV charger assessed. A clear brief makes competing proposals easier to compare.
Waltham Cross Solar is an enquiry service operated by Lenzie Consulting Ltd. Partner installers provide their own survey, quotation, contract and aftercare. The final choice remains yours.
